About the team: 
We create and distribute all written content for the website, from long-form articles and programs to service and slideshows. We help shape and guide how Refinery29 and its impact can grow into those spaces, delivering on those promises with fresh content, tools, and discussion every day. The R29 social referral team is a creative, enthusiastic, and collaborative crew that programs across all social platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and LinkedIn. This multifaceted team touches all formats and content categories, working hand in hand with all other departments to produce, promote, and package R29 initiatives.

What you'll do: 
* Help grow a meaningful, engaged community of young women, while helping team hit referral and engagement metrics 

* Work with the edit team and other members of the social referral team on packaging, position content for optimal performance on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest 

* Work with the Branded team on social promotion of sponsored stories on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn 

* Community manage and engage with audiences across platforms including at least one Facebook Group identified with the Social Referral Editor and VP, Editorial 

* Help execute tests to move content strategy forward and attract new audiences  

* Pull insights reports and analysis for social referral and broader editorial team; joining at least one category in their weekly meetings to help present strategies and ideating new ideas with social referral traffic in mind  

* Pivot strategy as advised when company priorities and platform landscape change 

* Be an enthusiastic member of the team, continuously offering fresh ideas and pitches you won’t find at any other publications 

* Occasionally sign-on for weekends or after-business hours to cover a topic within your beat

What you have: 
* 1-2 years experience working as a social media editor or social producer 

* Expertise programming across all social platforms 

* Natural curiosity about audiences and the different ways we can engage with them 

* While we are a fun and communal work environment, we always expect good judgement, discretion, and professionalism from our team members
