The British Museum is the UK’s leading visitor attraction with an incredible collection spanning 2 million years of human history. The Museum is offering an exciting new opportunity for a creative and strategic Marketing Manager to join its Press and Marketing team. The role will lead on marketing campaigns to promote the museum’s diverse offer to the public.
The post-holder will work on a range of projects and will be responsible for creating, planning and executing marketing campaigns to meet the museum’s objectives. The role will be focused on promoting the museum’s world-class exhibitions as well as its free displays, audio guides and groups offer.
The successful candidate will have proven marketing experience and a strong track record at delivering successful and innovative marketing campaigns on time and within budget. Candidates should have keen attention to detail, a creative approach, decision-making aptitude and strong interpersonal skills.
Key areas of responsibility:
* Developing and implementing marketing communication strategies and campaigns to promote the museum’s public offer and meeting targets.
* Project managing campaigns, including management of budgets
* Planning advertising and promotion for assigned projects
* Working with the team to ensure appropriate marketing for assigned projects via digital communications channels
Person Specification: The successful candidate will have proven track record of delivering creative marketing campaigns. They should be proficient in working with marketing copy, have knowledge of all major office software programmes and be able to manage budgets and projects whilst working to tight deadlines. We are looking for someone who has good negotiation skills, high levels written and verbal communication skills, and who enjoys working creatively.
£29,958 per annum
